At Smart City Networks, our strength has always come from our people. That’s exactly where Dianne Masih Reddy chose to focus in her first few months as HR Director.

Throughout Q1, Dianne spent time on the road visiting teams at the Orange County Convention Center, San Diego Convention Center, and Anaheim Convention Center. The goal was simple: get out into the field, meet the people behind the work, and understand what makes each team unique.
These weren’t quick drop-ins. Dianne took the time to learn how each team operates and see firsthand how our service comes to life at the venue level. It’s one thing to talk about culture from a distance, it’s another to experience it in action. That time onsite made a difference, both in the relationships being built and in the perspective it brings back to the broader organization.

Back at the corporate level, she’s already turning those insights into action. This quarter introduced a new initiative, “Lunch and Learns,” designed to create more consistent communication across the company. These sessions included an in-person meeting with the corporate team, along with virtual conversations with our Central, West, and East regions. The focus has been on walking through policies, answering questions, and making sure teams feel aligned and supported.
It’s a simple idea, but an important one. Creating space for open conversation helps remove uncertainty and gives teams a clearer understanding of how everything connects.

At the same time, Dianne also completed Rapport Leadership Breakthrough 1, continuing to invest in her own growth as a leader. That commitment shows up in how she approaches the role, not just setting direction, but staying engaged and present with the people she supports.
What stands out most from her first quarter isn’t just the travel or the new initiatives, it’s the intention behind them. Taking the time to show up, listen, and build relationships sends a clear message about what matters.
As we move further into the year, that approach is already having an impact, and it sets a strong foundation for what’s ahead. Thank you to Dianne Masih Reddy!
