At Smart City Networks, we are dedicated to making every event a success by providing the most reliable technology solutions in the industry. One of the best aspects of our job is being a part of various shows and events across the United States. It is one of the benefits of being partnered with prominent convention centers across the country. So as we give thanks for all the remarkable Fall November events and transition to the light-hearted holiday cheer of December, we are giving a special shoutout to a few of the significant events and activities that happened this last month across a few select centers.

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Expo is the largest trade show for the attractions industry. Every year, the global event draws in professionals from some of the world’s most famous theme parks, water parks, zoos, cruise lines, science centers, and aquariums. They source new products, connect with like-minded individuals, and overall see the magic come alive.
At its heart, the IAAPA expo is rooted in fun and excitement, and it’s one of our favorite events of the year. This year’s theme park extravaganza took place at the Orange County Convention Center, and the results were out of this world. New technological innovations and exhilarating theme park rides transformed the OCCC into a melting pot of sights, sounds, smells, and overall sensations to mimic the feeling of an actual amusement park. We’ve already bought our tickets and are standing in line for next year!

Art Basel is an international art fair that takes place all around the world. In the United States, it has taken up residency at the Miami Beach Convention Center, and every year it’s a bold and radiant showcase for art and beauty. Leading galleries from five continents display magnificent works of art from both masters of old and emerging art superstars.
It’s an event that does take place in early December, but the lead-up and prep to put on this show occurred at the end of November. It’s events like these that highlight what Smart City Networks is all about. We work diligently behind the scenes, making sure the technological solutions are correctly installed and can provide exhibitors with the tools they need to make their show a success. Of course, we will never be able to paint a modern masterpiece using paintbrushes and a canvas, but we like to think that every event we help service is a work of art in our own specific way.

Every year, Smart City Networks makes it a point to have a Month of Service. We encourage our teams across the United States to participate in charitable activities in their local communities. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the last few years have been challenging when it comes to giving back to those less fortunate. Still, thankfully we’ve returned to normalcy after the long hiatus, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to get back out there in 2022.
Our teams have volunteered for various unique charities and organizations throughout November. We’ve helped at St. Mary’s Food Bank in Arizona, the Food Pantry in Hawaii, Random Acts of Flowers in Indiana, and A Precious Child in Colorado, to name a few. And we wanted to give a special shoutout to our San Diego team, who assisted Feeding San Diego by sorting and packing close to 6,000 lbs. of carrots which will be distributed throughout the city to schools, churches, and families. Our We Care and Give Back initiative is one of the essential business principles we have at Smart City, and we are thrilled that so many of our team members got involved to help great causes across the country.

That is just a tiny sample of the incredible events and shows that took place throughout November. We want to give a special thanks to all our Smart City team members who have worked hard this month and we look forward to what December has to offer!
