Statement on the Coronavirus Outbreak

All our corporate and in-field team members nationwide at Smart City Networks extend our support for those impacted by the current Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) health emergency.

Trades shows and conventions are instrumental in brand and product awareness, and professional networking for businesses. This crisis effects our industry on both a business and personal level. During this challenging time, our teams are working to help customers navigate any difficulties of these circumstances.

Obviously, our industry is affected by travel restrictions and event cancellations and this will all need to be sorted out on a case-by-case basis. We have standard emergency response plans in place that ensure that all events across the country will have the support needed no matter the extent of the outbreak.

“Our teams understand the hard decisions everyone is facing right now. We’re following our industry’s best practices and offer timely risk management solutions.” President, Mark Haley, “We support the IAVM and ‘This Show is Open’ campaign and are working to deliver business continuity.”

Meetings, conventions, exhibitions and business events can serve essential roles to support industries in challenging times. Organizations such as the CDC and WHO have extensive expertise and it is put into their recommendations of travel advisories and restrictions.  Cancelling events in regions without travel restrictions could have long-term negative consequences for the events and convention profession.

Our industry has shown that we are supportive and resilient in difficult times. Our best response to this outbreak is to collaborate with the realization that our goals are the same. We are committed to continuing our high standard of customer service.
