At Smart City Networks, we are dedicated to making every event a success by providing the most reliable technology solutions in the industry. One of the best aspects of our job is getting to be a part of various shows and events across the United States. It is one of the benefits of being partnered with prominent convention centers across the country. So, as we say goodbye to the spooky vibes of October and transition to the fall aromas of November, we are giving a special shoutout to a few of the significant events that happened this last month.
The 95th National FFA Convention & Expo took place at the Indiana Convention Center at the end of October. The Future Farmers of America are a dynamic youth organization dedicated to using agricultural education to help its members blossom into future leaders. The convention was a chance to recognize FFA members from across the country for their talents and achievements. It also included a massive expo where more than 300 exhibitors interacted with attendees and a giant Mega Store packed with FFA merchandise. Overall, the event was a huge success!
EDUCAUSE is an annual conference showcasing the best thinking in higher education IT. It is a premier learning event uniting professionals and technology providers from around the world to discuss new discoveries, explore solutions, and grow professionally. The event took place at the Colorado Convention Center and was a great networking opportunity. This year featured a diverse breadth of presentations and panels spread out over the last week of October. Smart City Networks was thrilled to lend a hand and assist with the event’s technological needs!
One of the best things about 2022 has been the massive influx of returning events after the long hiatus. Unfortunately, the pandemic hit the meetings and event industry hard, offering little opportunity for large gatherings. But now, as we turn a corner, the back half of 2022 has seen a welcome return to pre-pandemic numbers. With that in mind, the last event we want to highlight is the New Jersey School Boards Association Workshop at the Atlantic City Convention Center. This was the event’s first in-person show since 2019, and its presence was certainly missed! The workshop focuses on empowering educational leaders through professional development and reaffirms how education is one of the most essential cornerstones of our nation. Smart City loves to be involved with any event that champions public education, and the NJSBA deserves a ton of recognition for all its great work for the community.
That is just a tiny sample of the incredible events and shows that took place through October. We want to give a special thanks to all our Smart City team members who have worked extremely hard to make this an October for the record books!
