Annual golf tournament raises money for children and families in Central Florida
Smart City Telecom has helped raise more than $15,000 for the Children’s Home Society of Florida from its annual golf tournament. Held September 18 at the Falcon’s Fire Golf Club in Kissimmee, Florida, the golf classic has collected more than $235,000 for the non-profit organization over the past 15 years.
Founded in 1902, the Children’s Home Society of Florida acts as a safe haven for abused and neglected children, working diligently to provide them with nurturing homes. The Central Florida non-profit organization also offers education and guidance to new parents and gives direction to teens that have aged out of the foster care system.
Approximately 98 golfers turned out for Smart City’s outing, which included lunch and an awards ceremony, as well as a silent auction after the fairway activities.
