Recently, we had the honor of collaborating with Disney and D23 on the D23 2024 event, the largest and most ambitious iteration to date, at the Anaheim Convention Center. We’re excited to share a heartfelt message from Charles Miller, Director of Program Management and Chair of Advocates for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, that beautifully encapsulates the spirit of our partnership and the magic we created together.
In his message, Charles Miller expressed his deep appreciation for the collaboration and the pivotal role our team played in the event’s success:

Our collaboration with Kevin and his team was instrumental in creating a truly magical experience for our guests.”
The triumph of the 2024 D23 event didn’t happen by chance. It was the result of deliberate, strategic efforts that were implemented by D23 to ensure event success. This included early and frequent communication, joint planning calls, integrated project plans, and a runbook for installation/load-in. Miller also recognized the exceptional contributions of key Smart City team members, who played critical roles in bringing the event to life.
“Kevin, Michelle, and Dave, your unique contributions and valuable feedback on the integrated schedule and runbook were instrumental in our success. During load-in and the show, Dave was an amazing partner. He was responsive and helped our teams stay on track for delivery.”
Kevin’s strategic leadership, Michelle’s precise planning, and Dave’s hands-on support during the event exemplified the dedication and expertise that Smart City Networks is known for. Their efforts were instrumental in making this event a success.
