In our July Highlights post, Smart City Networks is proud to reflect on a month filled with remarkable events across our partnered convention centers. We were thrilled to provide our unparalleled service across the nation, and it speaks to our commitment to delivering exceptional technology solutions and connectivity for all exhibitors and attendees. This month, we established strong roots for Cultivate ’24, we celebrated the monumental 75th Anniversary of NATO, we gave the assist to WNBA Live, and much more! Let’s take a look at some of our successes throughout the month of July!
Cultivate ’24 – Greater Columbus Convention Center
Cultivate ’24, hosted at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, brought together over 10,000 attendees and 658 exhibitors from the horticulture industry. AmericanHort united growers, retailers, breeders, suppliers, designers, landscapers, educators, researchers, and manufacturers into a vibrant community.
With more than 150 educational sessions, hands-on workshops, product tours, and in-depth product demonstrations, Smart City Networks played a crucial role in ensuring seamless connectivity and communication. We set up a registration network, provided staff Wi-Fi, and delivered exhibitor internet.
75th Anniversary of NATO – Walter E. Washington Convention Center
In Washington, D.C., Smart City Networks had the honor of supporting the 75th Anniversary of NATO at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Our team partnered with prominent US Government agencies, NATO, and international press to deliver comprehensive IT services and advanced security.
We delivered a range of advanced networking solutions, including high-speed infrastructure, secure network segmentation, numerous hard-wired connections, and hosted voice services. Additionally, we handled extensive Wi-Fi requests, set up cable TV services, and provided 24-hour on-site support to ensure smooth operations.
WNBA Live – Phoenix Convention Center
The Phoenix Convention Center hosted the vibrant WNBA Live presented by U.S. Bank, part of the 2024 AT&T WNBA All-Star weekend. With over 20,000 attendees, this event celebrated the intersection of sports, entertainment, and culture.
Smart City Networks ensured robust connectivity and support for national brands like Nike, American Express, AT&T, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. We provided hardlines with over 200Mbps dedicated bandwidth, set up hotspots, and helped service an incredible experience that included interactive events, meet-and-greets, live panels, and personalized merchandise.
The Road to 2028!
At Smart City Networks, we always like to be prepared! RNC 2024 took place in Milwaukee this month, but the convention’s next stop is George R. Brown Convention Center (GRB) in 2028. With that in mind, GRB sent a delegation to scope things out. This visit was a crucial step in preparing for the future. The delegation included members of Houston First, management from area hotels, the Toyota Center, and other GRB service contractors. They observed operations and gathered insights that will make for an incredible 2028 event.
Boosts from Phoenix!
Besides getting to service these fantastic events, we love to spotlight boosts and kudos that we receive from show management. Our local teams work hard to provide exceptional support and in our July Highlights, we’re excited to share a few boosts from the Phoenix Convention Center! The American Culinary Convention praised our team’s efforts, stating,
“Your support made a huge difference, and everything went off without a hitch because of your efforts. I really appreciate your hard work and dedication.”
Similarly, The Gideons International Event expressed their gratitude, saying,
“Thank you for the attention to details and making this event so great!”
